In October 2025, the average price of US Chicago Soft Red Wheat on the Chicago Merchant Exchange (CME) was down 12.7% YOY and down 5.4% MOM, as ample global wheat supply has continually pressured prices. Despite concerns early in the year about supply from some of the major wheat exporters, production has been higher than expected.
Market sentiment is widely regarded by participants as neutral to bearish, as there are no serious weather threats currently that could impact supply.
