Christmas Main Meal Index UK

The basket of commodities for the traditional Christmas dinner includes meat (turkey and pork), vegetables (potatoes, carrots, and parsnips), and ingredients for Yorkshire pudding (wheat, milk, and eggs). The main meal index increased sharply by 18.63% Y-O-Y in November 2025, primarily driven by higher turkey and some vegetable prices. The Yorkshire pudding index also increased by 10.74% Y-O-Y and 3.56% month-on-month (M-O-M) as egg prices rose, offsetting the decrease in wheat and milk prices.
