Eggs

The average weekly price of US Egg as of October 29 decreased by 3.2% M-O-M and declined by 58.4% Y-O-Y to $1.86/dzn. The US egg market strengthened through October as seasonal demand expanded across both retail and food service channels. Retail movement gained momentum throughout the month, supported by downward price trend, feature activity, and a shift toward more baking-oriented purchases as the industry began to experience more Q4-oriented activity. Supply conditions tightened as suppliers maintained heavier inventories, showing less willingness to negotiate amid consistent downstream interest and continued concern over bird flu detections. Availability within the spot market grew increasingly limited, and competition amongst buyers drove upward market momentum across both table grade and further processed sectors.
